Tänzerin gesucht / female dancer wanted
Für die Neuproduktion „Frei geartete Kunst“ im Sommer 2027 am Berliner Kronprinzenpalais - eine Koproduktion mit der Staatsoper Unter den Linden - suchen NICO AND THE NAVIGATORS eine professionelle, ausdrucksstarke Tänzerin mit Improvisationspraxis. Im Gedenkjahr 2027 – 90 Jahre nach der Diffamierung sogenannter „entarteter Kunst“ durch die Nationalsozialisten – widmet sich die Neuproduktion der Frage nach der Freiheit der Kunst. Ausgehend von der Verfolgung von Expressionist*innen in Bildender Kunst und Musikwerden verdrängte Stimmen und Werke wieder sichtbar und hörbar gemacht. Gleichzeitig beleuchtet die Produktion gegenwärtige Bedrohungen künstlerischer Freiheit zwischen politischer Instrumentalisierung, gesellschaftlichem Druck und vorauseilender Selbst-Zensur.
For the new production “Frei geartete Kunst” in summer 2027 at Berlin’s Kronprinzenpalais — a co-production with the Staatsoper Unter den Linden — NICO AND THE NAVIGATORS are looking for a professional, expressive female dancer with experience in improvisation. In the commemorative year 2027 — 90 years after the National Socialists’ defamation of so-called “Entartete Kunst” — the new production explores the question of artistic freedom. Taking as its starting point the persecution of Expressionist artists in the visual arts and music, the production brings suppressed voices and works back into visibility and audibility. At the same time, it sheds light on present-day threats to artistic freedom, between political instrumentalisation, social pressure and anticipatory self-censorship.
