Vita

performs as a soloist, chamber musician, and orchestral player with renowned ensembles such as the Berliner Barock Solisten, Concerto Melante, the Freiburger Barockorchester, and the Neumeyer Consort. Fascinated by both early music and its performance practice as well as by contemporary music, she devotes herself intensively to chamber music and to interdisciplinary projects that combine music with other art forms such as dance and literature.

She has appeared at international festivals including the Lucerne Festival and the Bachfest Leipzig, and has performed at the Musikverein in Vienna and the Philharmonie Berlin. Kerstin studied recorder and Baroque violin at the conservatories in Freiburg, Frankfurt, and Lyon, completing her studies with the concert exam in recorder. Until 2024, she taught recorder and methodology at the Hochschule für Musik und Darstellende Kunst (HfMDK) in Frankfurt am Main, where she also held a substitute professorship in the summer semester of 2019. Since 2019 she has been teaching recorder at the Conservatoire de Lausanne, and in 2023 she was appointed Professor of Recorder and Historical Performance Practice at the Lucerne School of Music.
