Born in Dessau in 1967, worked in various professions, and after reunification from 1991 as a journalist for the Mitteldeutsche Zeitung. Since 2006 he has been writing – initially under a pseudonym – texts for spoken and musical theatre. From 2013 to 2015 he was dramaturge at the Anhaltisches Theater Dessau, during which time his debut novel “Gläserne Zeit” was published. His musical “Herz aus Gold” premiered in Augsburg in 2018, and in 2020 he published the baroque story “Ortolan”. Andreas Hillger has been working with NICO AND THE NAVIGATORS for a long time.
