Vita

Born in 1973 in Karl-Marx-Stadt (Chemnitz) and living in Berlin since 1990, she studied medieval studies, modern German literature and language, as well as theatre studies/cultural communication at Humboldt University in Berlin. Her Master’s thesis focused on Heiner Müller’s revolutionary dramas and Frank Castorf’s production of « Maßnahme–Mauser » at the Berliner Volksbühne.

She worked for 24 years at the Volksbühne am Rosa-Luxemburg-Platz in various departments (visitor services, dramaturgy, directing, project management, theatre pedagogy, artistic production office, press, archive) and from 2006 to 2016 was also a member of the “Chor der Werktätigen Volksbühne.” From 2001 onwards, she also worked regularly in Berlin’s independent theatre scene as well as nationwide. For OPERNALE e.V., she managed mobile theatre productions in Mecklenburg-Vorpommern from 2014 to 2017, and from 2021 to 2022 she was employed at the Berliner Ensemble as Covid-19 officer (artistic production office).

Since April 2022, she has been a member of the production team of NICO AND THE NAVIGATORS. She is also a member of the International Heiner Müller Society, the Association for Theatre Documentation (Förderverein Theaterdokumentation e.V.), and the Opernale e.V. in Mecklenburg-Vorpommern.
