works in the independent Berlin scene as well as elsewhere as an actor, performer, director, and co-director, and is one of the founding Navigators from 1998. « Quartett zum Quadrat » is his tenth production with NICO AND THE NAVIGATORS.

Since 1994, he has been involved—primarily at independent venues—in around 150 productions in theatre, dance, children’s and youth theatre, performance, and music theatre, and since 2014 also in inclusive contexts. Among other engagements, he has contributed to 10 productions at Theater Thikwa Berlin as performer, director, or co-director. Since 2008, Martin Clausen has been teaching performance, theatre, as well as theatre pedagogy and dance history at various art universities across Germany.
