She studied dance and theatre in Tokyo. In Berlin, she has worked with, among others, Ismael Ivo, Helena Waldmann, and NICO AND THE NAVIGATORS, while also creating her own works, several of which have won multiple awards. As a 3D animation enthusiast, she increasingly expands her choreographic work into the digital realm. She choreographed and danced in the ECHO Klassik award-winning production “Flying Bach”. Since 2008, she has continued the duo series “Die Stadt im Klavier” with jazz pianist Aki Takase. In 2019, she developed the choreography for “Flying Pictures” by Flying Steps at Hamburger Bahnhof. This was followed by the opera “Suor Angelica” (2020) with the Berlin Philharmonic under Kirill Petrenko and Nicola Hümpel, as well as “Die sieben Todsünden” (2024), in which she took on both the choreography and the role of Anna II, accompanied by the Konzerthausorchester Berlin under Joana Mallwitz. Her most recent solo work is entitled “Mis-sing One”.
